The Oriental Hotel in Bangkok, Thailand, still ranks as one of the world's finest. A new guestroom wing, with 400 large rooms and public facilities on the lower levels, was added in 1976.

A spacious new entrance foyer and a porte-cochere structure form the link between the extension and the existing hotel. The hotel garden was extended in between and complemented with a health club and a large swimming pool.
